Join us for an evening of inspiration at the Chancellor’s Annual Summit, where we will celebrate ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ’s impact on student leaders. Learn how different departments are creating the next generation of trailblazers, showcasing the leadership opportunities and influence these students are having on campus, the Boulder community and beyond.

Parking: Street and metered parking spaces are located within walking distance of the museum. Parking is also available at several lots in the area, including the Cultural Center Complex Garage at 12th Avenue and Broadway. The garage is open from 4 am-11 pm. Please note the garage is operated by Denver Public Works, not the museum.

Director of the Center for Leadership, Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics
Dr. Stefanie K. Johnson is the Director of the Center for Leadership and an Associate Professor at Leeds School of Business.
She has published 60 journal articles and book chapters in outlets Journal of Applied Psychology and The Academy of Management Journal and has received $3,800,000 in external grant funding. Dr. Johnson is member of the MG 100 Coaches, was selected for the 2020 Thinkers50 Radar List, and is the author of the Harper Collins book, Inclusify: Harnessing the power of uniqueness and belonging to build innovative teams. She has presented her work at over 170 meetings around the world including at the White House for a 2016 summit on diversity in corporate America.
Chancellor, Quigg and Virginia S. Newton Endowed Chair in Leadership
Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano was appointed chancellor on May 5, 2009. He joined the university in 1974 as an assistant professor of curriculum and instruction in the School of Education.
Dr. DiStefano has seen the university from nearly every perspective as a parent, donor, professor, dean, provost and chancellor.
Dr. DiStefano is a lifelong educator. Born and raised in the diverse working-class steel and coal town of Steubenville, Ohio, he began his education career as a high school English teacher near his hometown. A first-generation college student, he knows first-hand the benefit of education and opportunity.
He earned his doctorate in humanities education from The Ohio State University.
As chancellor, Dr. DiStefano works closely with students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors as well as government, industry, business and community leaders in extending ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ’s legacy as a preeminent national comprehensive research university.
His strategic imperatives for the campus are to develop tomorrow’s leaders, be the top university for innovation and to positively impact humanity. The chancellor serves as the Quigg and Virginia S. Newton Endowed Chair in Leadership, overseeing ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ’s prestigious leadership programs. The program brings national and world leaders to campus to interact with students and advise them on leadership paths.
He serves on the Boulder Community Health Board of Directors and formerly served on the NCAA Board of Governors and NCAA Division I Board of Directors, among other local and national organizations.
Co-Founder of the Center for African & African America Studies (CAAAS)
As a former CU Tri-Executive from 2020-2021, Isaiah founded the CU Police Oversight Board and contributed to the termination of a $150 million university prison labor contract alongside administration and university constituents.
He is a co-founder of CU's Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS), opened in 2022. Post graduation, he joined a high growth AR startup leading Business Development & Partnerships, collaborating with figures like Director Michael Bay, F1's Lewis Hamilton, Snoop Dogg, and Elton John.

Kavya Kannan (PSCI, ECON, IAFS '22) was born and raised in Colorado and is a proud CU alumni.
During her time at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ, Kavya graduated summa cum laude in Political Science, focusing her research on analyzing sex trafficking patterns across states in India through understanding the current socioeconomic, legal, and cultural norms that affect women and girls in India today. Kavya also served as CU's first female Student Body President of South Asian descent, a role in which she served on search committees for campus leaders alongside CU administrators, established and fundraised for a fund dedicated to survivors of sexual assault on campus, and helped found one of the nation's first community oversight review boards as part of the CU police department. On campus, Kavya also served as a Co-President for Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Honors Political Science Honors Society, an Associate Justice for CU Student Government, and held two chair positions on the Herd Leadership Council, the student arm of the Alumni Association. Kavya is a two-time Rhodes Scholarship finalist and was awarded the Most Outstanding Undergraduate Award for the College of Arts and Sciences at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ. Currently, Kavya works as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York and intends to pursue a career in law. In her free time, Kavya enjoys hiking, participating in Indian classical dance, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
