Nominees and their statements of interest:
Angie Chuang - Associate Professor, Journalism - CMCI
"Faculty voice, faculty governance, and academic freedom are more precarious and urgent than ever in these troubling times. I am running to ensure CMCI/CMDI and CU faculty are heard in how we want our institution and leadership to resist attacks on higher education, diversity, and the rights of more-vulnerable university community members, such as immigrants and transgender people. My scholarship and my decade-plus of professional journalism experience, focused on race and identity issues, represent the distinct mix of research and creative work of CMCI-ENVD faculty and provide context to engage the current crises confronting higher education."Ìý
David Hekman - Associate Professor, Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics - Leeds School of Business
"I’m running for reelection to the Boulder Faculty Assembly to continue the progress we’ve made on behalf of student athletes. Serving on the BFA Intercollegiate Athletic Committee, I’ve focused on student diversity, academic rigor, mental health resources, and concussion support, especially during the transition from the student-focused PAC-12 to the new conference. I’d like to keep advocating for solutions that benefit not only student athletes, but the broader ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ community."
