Career Pathways for SCR Graduates

Graduates of the SCR Training Program build successful careers across diverse scientific sectors. Many alumni continue in academia, securing postdoctoral positions at prestigious institutions like Harvard, Stanford, NIH, and Rockefeller University, with some advancing to faculty positions as assistant and associate professors. A substantial number transition to industry roles in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, AbbVie, ArcherDX, and Bristol Myers Squibb, where they apply their research expertise as scientists and research leaders. The program has also produced entrepreneurs who have founded or co-founded companies like RootPath Genomics, Biota Technology, and BioLoomics. Other graduates pursue careers in science communication and education, becoming science writers, public information specialists, and educators at various academic levels.
